Hi,

I am curious to know if honypot systems (e.g Nepenthes, Dionaea) works in terms of collecting new malware samples?
is it still worth using this systems in order to get new variants of malware?
aren't these honypot system mainly for worms?

At large my question is how do i get a fresh malware automatically (if that possible these days)?

hi
Listening to the Wutan, i do not wish to be as talkative.
The ENISA has published an excellent study about Honeypots, and i guess that you might find answers to your questions.

Yes, malwares, and also attacks (mostly interesting with IDS based honeypots).
